With this GE Reveal® compact fluorescent light bulb (CFL) colors appear more vivid, and objects appear more crisp. This is true not only when compared to conventional CFLs, but when compared to conventional incandescent lights as well. This CFL could best be described as a "High Def CFL".

GE Reveal® bulbs use special phosphors to filter out the dull yellow rays produced by "warm white" bulbs, yet without creating the glare of a cool white or daylight-like lamp. The light of a GE Reveal CFL is a crisp, clean light, different than that produced by other compact fluorescent or incandescent light bulbs. The light from these bulbs not only makes blues appear bluer, whites appear whiter and reds appear redder, Reveal CFL bulbs also bring out colors and patterns that may go unnoticed under ordinary incandescent light.

This 13 watt Reveal spiral compact fluorescent light bulb will deliver 760 lumens of light, which is equivalent to the light produced by a 60 watt incandescent light bulb. With a rated life of 8,000 hours (compared to a 1,000 typical life of an incandescent), it will provide energy savings for years to come, while improving the quality of light in your home or office.

This bulb is not suitable for use in enclosed fixtures, emergency exit lights, in outdoor locations where it would be exposed to the elements, or in conjunction with dimmers or photocells.
