Bathroom fans should not exhaust into the attic; they should exhaust outside. It can sometimes be difficult to penetrate the roof, particularly for do-it-yourselfers, androof penetrations can be prone to leaks if the job isn't done perfectly . These exhaust vents allow you to exhaust bathroom fans out through the soffit. They mount flush so they won't detract from the appearance of the house, and they include a flapper that opens to let exhaust air out and closes when the fan isn't operating. The vents connect to either 4 or 5 inch duct or flex hose. The housings are plastic and are white in color.
